![]() Rating: - yummy stuffbought as a gift for my daughter, so she could return the long overdue copy to the library. I love all the things she has made from it. The latest were bagels that looked like store bought and tasted so much better, I can never buy bagels from the store again. I may have to buy my own copy now. Rating: - Truely for passionate bread makersThis is the first book I reach for when making any bread. It elevated my baking from a casual baker to a passionate one. The bread recipes are easy to follow and I have always had outstanding results. Better than grocery store and some local bakery products. You do need to think ahead when making most of the breads, but it is very much worth it! Rating: - An exercise in perfectionPurchased book for my wife, the following is written by her; I have been baking breads for 10 years. Many of them very well. This book has me totally overwhelmed. It actually expects the baker to check the temperature of the dough as it is kneaded. I'm sure the book is great for a professional baker, but not for the average cook. Rating: - Gets down to the nitty gritty! If you are serious about teaching yourself how to bake authentic artisan bread this is a must.
