Accurate but looks fragile. I know my mom used one for years without breaking it. I've ended up getting a digital one and like it far better.

I purchased this thermometer to measure the temp of my milk for making yogurt. The tip broke very easily. Though it was a very good price, I guess you get what you pay for.

The thermometer I received had a fatal flaw: the clip is made of aluminum, a soft metal.
When you clip the thermometer to the pot, the aluminum bends open. The sensing part of the thermometer then slides to and touches the edge of the pot.
Since the pot is hotter than the liquid inside, the thermometer indicates the liquid is 5 to 10 degrees hotter it actually is, even after calibrating the thermometer.
Rating: - inexpensive and good cooking thermometer
works great - no problems - the clip is handy since its adjustable and you can use it to keep the thermometer at the right level. I use it for testing the milk temp in making yogurt
