 Rating:  - Too light for meThese knives were too light for me. The blades are super thin, and very sharp indeed, but the handle doesn't feel sturdy in my hand. I think I prefer something with more weight and substance. The handles are a lightweight, honed plastic. No chiseled edge in the cut of the handle. Something about that design and material choice for the handles contributes to my feeling that these knives are a little cheap. A friend of mine has the Wüsthof Gourmet set and I've always enjoyed using her knives. I think I'll get those after I return these. Rating:  - Hope it lives upto the reviewsI purcased this as a housewarming gift for a good friend of mine. I gave it 5 stars because it seemed to be of good quality, my girlfriend loves the set and it was both affordable and I could feel good about gifting it. I looked at a ton of knife sets and finally decided on this one for it's long term durability. Rating: - additional gift ideaThese were also a gift for my son. He was amazed at the quality & craftmanship! He uses them daily! Rating: - Very sharp knife setNo complaints good looking knives, made the mistake of honing a few rough edges & wiping them down. Got distracted, sliced my finger, stupid mistake on my part. I think I'll pay a bit more attention next time. Only odd thing when I got the knife block for storage, it just says Wusthof on it, no Emiralware. No problem. I'll be picking up a few more knives by Wusthof to complete the full set!
