Product DescriptionThis rectangular pan with a slotted tray insert exposes the maximum area of the food to the broiler heating element. The slanted slots allow excess grease to run off into the pan. For food that's flavorfully seared outside and moistly tender inside, a broiler pan is an essential component to the cooking equation.
Rating: - stainless steel type 400 series
The broiler pan and its companion grill are of a magnetic steel type 400 series I presume. The more common alloys of the 300 series are non magnetic. The quality is excellent, the size could be a little bit larger. If I had my druthers I would like to see one about 14" x 18". I have not used it yet, but after being a homemaker for 55 years I've had lots of experience broiling meats, fish and poultry. So, I expect it will work out well.
