![]() Rating: - great book for beginners!I bought this book for my pampered 18 yr. old brother whose moving away to college and we've used it every week since it got here to cook a different recipe, it's easy for him to follow the directions, has lots of how-to pictures and everything we make is delicious! He's actually taken a liking to cooking! Rating: - It's OK but not all that I got this book because it was listed as being very simple and easy to follow. Which it is .. pretty much. But it's not all that rah rah siss boom bah as previously suggested. For one .. I think recipes selected aren't representative of what one expected. They are kinda boring I DO like the vegetables and desserts part though as I got great ideas. But .. overall .. this book wasn't ALL that it was purported to be Rating: - A Nice Beginner CookbookThis is a nice beginner's cookbook - I bought it for my nephew and as he leafed through it he was commenting on that number of recipes that he wanted to try. Rating: - A great choiceI love this cookbook! The basic techniques are really well explained for a novice home cook, I especially liked the section on Thanksgiving preparation. The recipes are approachable, no wacky or expensive ingredients, and the tricker techniques are well explained, many even have subset pictures. Worth the price!
